About Andrew Jarosz
Andrew Jarosz’s story begins in the heart of a steel shop, where he started welding at just 14 years old alongside his father, a Polish immigrant who arrived in the U.S. in 1974 and later founded Jarosz Welding in 1986. From the beginning, it was more than just a trade. It was a bond forged in heat, grit, and shared determination, laying the groundwork for a lifelong dedication to craftsmanship and perseverance.
After graduating from Catholic High School in 1990, Andrew stepped into the business full-time. He got his start welding aircraft components for major aerospace names like Pratt & Whitney before shifting focus to structural and architectural steel. Over time, he broadened his skills, taking on property rehabs, subcontracting roles, and eventually overseeing large-scale fabrication efforts.
Building on decades of experience, Andrew went on to establish JWC Steel, making bold investments in advanced machinery, including a 150,000-pound beam line and overhead industrial cranes. Today, he leads two successful fabrication companies, JWC Steel and CWJ Deck, that serve general contractors across Connecticut and Greater Boston. His teams fabricate steel staircases, balconies, porches, fire escapes, and railings for both residential and commercial applications. Running two businesses has given him the ability to offer a wider range of services while staying agile in a demanding market.
Andrew’s commitment reaches beyond metalwork. He’s passionate about workforce development, actively mentoring apprentices from diverse walks of life, including individuals reentering the workforce through rehabilitation programs and international workers seeking new beginnings. He values integrity, growth, and giving others the chance to build something solid, both in their careers and their lives.
Today, Andrew Jarosz continues to push boundaries, expanding into new markets, growing his capabilities, and staying rooted in the values his father passed down. With every beam raised and every team member trained, he reinforces a legacy built on family, discipline, and the unshakable belief that hard work creates real opportunity.
